There aren’t many mini cruises - 3 or 4 day breaks - in the cruising year. They’re rare and hard to find. But they are a great way to try out a different ship, or to try cruising for the first time. When they appear, they are usually great value, far better than any weekend break in Europe. Even those mini cruises out of European capitals offer superb value. For a start they are full-board. It could cost a fortune in extras to bring a weekend break up to the standard of a cruise ship. Ferries are not Mini Cruises because they’re not in the same league!
